In 1984, Mie released "Never", one of her better solo albums featuring slick and stylish power pop songs and entrancing ballads. Around the same time, a video compilation of songs from the album had also been released, probably one of the earliest music videos which had become a booming fad here in the States at the same time, thanks to MTV. Just like the album itself, the "Never" video, with seven selections was slick and stylish and well done indeed, and Mie certainly made for a positively delightful video star.
