Here’s something I’ll bet you didn’t know about Mie-chan----she was an artist! No, not a singer, we already know about that, I mean she could draw! In a paperback sized Pink Lady book I found online a few years ago, circa 1977, there were a dozen pages with illustrations done by Mie (who signed her work “Mii”). Now, as someone who can’t draw a straight line WITH a ruler, I have nothing but deep admiration for people who can draw, and since I just love Japanese manga, the style in which this artwork was done in, I thought I’d present this feature for you. Who knows, if the singing and dancing thing with Kei hadn’t worked out, Mie might have become a manga artist. Fortunately for her, and us as Pink Lady fans, show business wound up being the better career choice. |
